Single frequency side scan sonar can emit CW and Chirp signals at 150kHz, 450kHz, or 900kHz. After receiving the echo signal, the towed fish processes it and transmits the echo data to the deck unit through underwater cables. The sonar display and control software forwards, parses, and processes the echo data to form high-resolution, rich, and delicate image data, which is also saved as OTSS and XTF format data for playback. Chirp frequency modulation signal technology improves the detection range of the system and obtains a larger range of high-resolution data.

Single frequency side scan sonar includes strong pressure resistant stainless steel towing fish, high-strength Kevlar cable, waterproof deck unit, and customized OTech ® Sonar software. The system is designed with ultra-low power consumption, which can be powered by AC or battery.
